For Once, Warriors' Optimism Seems Justified

CBS5.com previews the Warriors upcoming year.
Baron Davis believes he will soon be known as the best point guard in the NBA -- that is, if his Golden State Warriors finally find a way to win consistently.

Davis provided a glimpse of what his high-energy game brings to a team in dire need of such a jolt when he joined the Warriors at the trade deadline last February. Now, Golden State hopes to follow the feisty Davis right to the playoffs.

That's the goal anyway, but when it comes to the Warriors, it is always easier said than done. It's their mission every year, and for more than a decade they've waited for it to be reality. This playoff-starved franchise is riding the league's longest streak without a postseason berth, an 11-year absence.
