Wednesday Warrior Words, 10/05/05

This week's comments were a little...sparse. Since we really didn't get many comments, we're not going to give out the precious prize of a date with a Warriors cheerleader. Apparently that wasn't enticing enough to leave comments. Too bad since I workout at the same gym where they rehearse. So we'll switch up the prize this week to something less intimidating.

I do want to point out anonymous's post on the "ESPN Power Rankings: #13" post as to the significance of "lucky" number 13. I guess it doesn't surprise me that on the year the Warriors are supposed to do well, they are ranked with the most unlucky number. Hopefully this is just a coincidence and ESPN raises or drops them from that spot. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Until next week, keep dropping the comments. We really do appreciate them.

Wednesday Warrior Words Prize

Hey we'll give out a real prize this time, and we'll run this for 2 weeks to give you time to drop some tight comments: The actual Warriors 2004-2005 Yearbook I received when I went to the season ticket holder orientation. Can't get this anywhere else unless you went to the orientation or you bought it for $100 off of Ebay. (You'll need to email us your address if you win). Lots of good articles and pictures with coach and player bios. So bring the insightful and funny comments, we won't be giving this out for nothing.

haha there were some prizes before (1 day as Warriors GM, date with a Warrior girl), but nobody wanted the date prize. this time we just thought we'd hand out something real to our readers as a thank you for coming back frequently.

honestly, the prizes should get better over the course of the season. we'd like to hand out prizes such as tickets to games but right now we don't make enough money from the ads to do that. if you want better prizes, click the links and check them out. all the money we make from the ads will go right back into the blog prizes and such, so it's not like we're making money from it. we can get discounts on a number of online stores, so if there's anything you're interested in, we can try to get discounts at those online stores.

I was Mr. Anonymous before I became MokeskiForThree. As a new member of this BLOG site and an avid A's fan, I'm hoping this site might approach the power of the Oakland A's blog site, AthleticsNation.com. That site has about 50-100 comments for each article and amazingly over 500 entries per game. Very impressive. Then again, there are a lot of A's fanatics out there. The site has even been read by Billy Beane and the A's ownership.

This site has a long way to go, but hey, with the potential excitement of this team, there can be some new additions to this site. Curious to see what this site will be like DURING the season. I'm looking forward to it.

"we came to play" (I miss that motto)

MokeskiForThree-- Thanks for the support. This blog has only been around since last May, so we've never had the benefit of being around during the season. But don't worry- this blog and Warriors are about the blow up!

Everyone- keep posting comments! We read every single one.
