Warriors Fantasy Preview

If you need to pick up some extra blocks,
Adonal is your man.
NBA.com, courtesy of the Talented Mr. Roto, released their Warriors preview with a fantasy bball perspective.
THE GUY ON THIS TEAM THAT WE LOVE:
As you may have guessed based on our rankings and predictions, we’re quite fond of Ike Diogu from a fantasy perspective, and would love to see what he can do in a high-powered offense like this.

THE GUY ON THIS TEAM WE SUGGEST YOU AVOID:
If talent were a category, there’s no arguing that Baron Davis is an easy first-rounder. Unfortunately, FG percentage and FT percentage are categories, and he’s not going to do you any favors in either. We’re obviously not saying to avoid him altogether, just keep in mind that damage he can do.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN 2005:
A healthy Davis first and foremost will determine the Warriors’ fate this year. If his joints can hold together, these guys might make a run at the final spot in the playoffs, but interior defense will be a major concern since the West’s big men will have their way in the paint. No matter what, this is a group that can definitely fill up the highlight reels and there’s a lot of fantasy goodness to be found here. Davis, Richardson, Murphy and Dunleavy should all be fantasy starters this season and should be able to be gotten with good value in your draft.
