Gold Rush

It's good to see the Warriors getting some positive national media coverage like Golden opportunity for revived Warriors from USA Today. More recent members of Warriors Nation might not realize that it was not too long ago when the Warriors were only in the national media for humorous draft picks (ahem, Mike Dunleavy), ridiculous contracts (ahem, Derek Fisher), and one of the most incompetent owners in all of sports (ahem, Chris Cohan). Anyhow, check out the love:

This tropical, seaside setting in the remote corner of Oahu's picturesque North Shore provides a contradictory backdrop for the Golden State Warriors. On an island here, they're isolated from the NBA mainstream — par for the course for an organization that lost its way in the mid 1990s. Yet a franchise enduring an 11-year playoff drought — longest in the league — is no longer a shipwrecked team awaiting rescue.
