Diogu Breaks Finger & Miles Impresses

Training camp battles are getting rough. Ike Diogu broke his finger in an extra practice session for the rookies.
Diogu was attended to while the drill continued. His ring finger was taped to his pinkie and he continued playing. Diogu said he was fine afterward.

During a later examination it was learned he broke the fourth metacarpal on his left hand. He will be re-evaluated when the team returns to Oakland on Thursday. How long he'll be out will be determined then.

Meanwhile, undrafted rookie, Aaron Miles, is impressing the coaching staff and might just earn himself a roster spot with his solid play.
Miles has been one of the pleasant surprises of Warriors training camp.

Miles -- who at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds went undrafted out of Kansas -- has impressed Warriors management such that he might be on his way to earning a roster spot.

Because he's a pass-first point guard whose strengths lie in finding teammates and running the offense, he fills a need for the Warriors, who have three scoring point guards in Baron Davis, Derek Fisher and Ellis. Even more, Montgomery said Ellis is better playing off the ball right now and has a ways to go before he can run the point.

B- It's definitely too bad Ike got hurt. You hate see an excited rookie start off the pre-season like this. Don't worry- Ike will rebound from this! (pun intended)
