NBA Rumor Mill

Will DFish be back with
the Sparks this season?
Hoopsworld recently wrote an article covering many rumors going around the league. Under "Most Likely to be Traded in 2006"
Derek Fisher: With Baron Davis now running things in Golden State, D-Fish is the odd man out. His name was mentioned all summer as possibly heading back to LA to the run things for Phil Jackson. Sources in Oakland say that the Warriors are hesitant to trade Fisher, due to Baron’s history of injury, if BD stays healthy, Fisher is a trading chip.
One surprising name under this listing, The Big Ticket, Kevin Garnett.
The rumors of Kevin Garnett’s departure are being exaggerated… but here is where they come from. Apparently Kevin who recently bought a house in Malibu mentioned to some fellow Malibuians – that he was really unhappy with the decisions and directions the Wolves were going, going as far as saying he was unsure how much longer he was gonna give the team to straighten things out.

Now if the Warriors can unload Fisher and his salary to the Lakers for an expiring contract, I'm all for it. But that's not news compared to KG possibly getting traded. While there's a 99.99% chance he will NOT get traded, it's still fun to think about what if. If you were the Wolves, what would the Warriors have to give up to get KG? Honestly, I don't think there's anything the Warriors could give them to entertain trades for KG. At the very least, if I were the Wolves, it would be something along the lines of BDiddy, JRich and two 1st rounders.

If Mullin can get an all star like Baron Davis for a bag of chips and a beer, maybe he can pull another magical trade to get KG. Trading Fisher + Foyle + Murphy + Draft picks would clear enough cap space for a fat contract like KG's maybe. Makes me drool thinking of a combo of Baron, Jason, and KG.

10 bucks says Lisa Leslie would dominate Fisher.

bballblog-- One would think so. I'm not a big fan of McHale's tenure with the Wolves. Flip didn't deserve to get fired last season for McHale's dumb moves.
