One moment, Shane Battier and Bobby Jackson were streaking in for
fastbreak layups. The next, Eddie Jones and Pau Gasol were skying for fastbreak
dunks. Before long, Jackson was turning the Warriors' third turnover into
another fastbreak basket and a 10-point lead.
It all happened in the first six minutes of Tuesday's 104-94 loss to the
Grizzlies, and for the Warriors, it was enough to spell the difference between
a great road trip and a good one. Between making progress and 'staying afloat.'
