Shift to Defense

Warriors? Defense? It's true / Shift in focus results in a new way to win games from SFGate.com
Golden State is allowing opponents just 93.7 points per game, down nearly seven points from a year ago. Phoenix threatened to set an NBA record for defensive futility last season, yet entered tonight's game having held its past nine opponents to an average of 89.5 points. Preventing the opposition from scoring has become as important as scoring itself, especially in the Warriors' case. Thought it's the reverse of how they expected to win games coming off March and April's furious scoring, it's a welcome change from defenses past.
