Free Agents

Today Free Agency season begins in the NBA. Make sure to keep coming back for an in depth free agent analysis with respect to the Warriors, but in the mean time check out Warriors think thrifty, shop around from SFGate.com by Janny Hu.

The free agent season opens today with the Warriors as a bargain shopper. The capped-out team has no room for a marquee addition, but has its mid-level exception ready for use.

"We're going to look at all options," said vice president Chris Mullin. "We'll be active out there, for sure."

Free Agency market is going to be great this offseason. Not as great as last years with high profile players moving, but i believe this offseason will change the fate of a lot of teams. No big time players will move but key role players are out there that could make a team propel into the playoffs.

For the warriors I would like to see them pursue forwards like Shareef and Antoine and Swift. Doubt any of them could come here but that would be a nice addition to the team. We have a couple financial issues like giving derek fischer all our money for a guy to come off the bench! but if we could trade a couple players to get them we could then be a great team!

I don't think the Ws will make a big impact in free agency. I think they'll look at a third backup pg but the rotation is pretty much set. I also think it depends how much the rookies progess as well

I'd like us to give the Mid Level to a big body. ( I know that's how we went in the draft )

but it's expected that a combined total of 96 minutes a game to share in the backcourt is easily gonna be eaten up by Baron, Jason, Derek, Monta, Mickael and Lil Dun in some instances.

I don't mind throwing Taft, Diogu and all them out in the mix. But we need a vetren big body for these young 4 and 5's to develop alongside. Plus Vetrens sometimes can be the only bodies to really keep Tim Duncan and Shaq in check!
