2 Feet Deep

With few holes to fill, GM Higgins will have limited role in free agency by Janny Hu for SFGate.com

The Warriors are two-deep at every position, think highly of all 10 players they are carrying from last season, and can't stop raving about their three draft picks.

So what to do about the free-agent market?

"We're actively looking at all our options," general manager Rod Higgins said this week. "It would be stupid for us not to look at it that way."

We don't necessarily think that being 2 deep every position a la the Memphis Grizzlies is a good idea (see The Golden State Grizzlies). Are you in the group that says stay put with the roster the Warriors have or the group with the finger ready to pull the trigger on a trade or free agent signing? What would you like to see?

I say let them gel. If by the trading deadline we are not playing up to par, then pull the finger on a big trade.

agree, let 'em gel. if it's possilbe to use those trade exceptions plus cheaney to get a quality big guy then great! if not wait until the trade deadline and use the bigger trade exception.

let 'em gel, but get rid of dumbleavy so that there's more playing time for pietrus, zarko, and maybe even taft
