Is Mullin Overrated too?

FoxSports.com's Charley Rosen, a Warriors Nation favorite, graded the offseasons of each GM in the NBA. So what grade did the the Warriors VP Chris Mullin get? An A? A B? A C? A D? Take a look.
Golden State — Chris Mullin

Team needed: Two talented big men. A quick backup at the point. Defenders galore.

Team got: Zarko Cabarkapa, still playing like a rookie at age 25.

Job evaluation: Mullin is betting the mortgage that Baron Davis is the second coming of Michael Jordan and just might wind up homeless.

Grade: F

Wouldn't it be great if the Warriors proved this "hoops expert" wrong?

This Rosen guy is lame. Whoopty doo, wrote a few books, never made it to the NBA. Sounds like a disgruntled old guy to me. Shoot, It's easy to kick the 'Dubs cause they've been kicked for more than a decade. I'm pretty sure that Mullin exhaustively looked for deals (like every other GM). Shoot, If you're gonna rip'em why doesn't he present some sort of solution to the problem. I sure as h#ll didn't seem much out there (except Chris Bosh =P ).

Well if you look at the article there were quite a few really bad grades. The majority of the grades were C or lower. I don't think Mully deserved an F, but he really didn't do much this offseason. Other than the draft, what has Mullin done?

You can't tell me that the team we ended the season with could not be improved upon. Every team needs to get better, look at the Spurs, they picked up Finley and Van Exel. Even the best teams need to improve and I'm not sure if Mully did that this offseason.

I'm happy with the draft, but rookies can only go so far. I'm excited for the season but Mullin may have deserved this grade.

i pretty much agress with what B said. Overall i'd give the job for the summer a C because we didn't make any moves, but at the same time, what moves could have been made? SA was able to make moves because NVE and MF WANTED to go there b/c they were championship caliber. warriors didn't really have much to choose from. besides, we have a lot of young talent whose trade values will only go up this year, allowing us to get more later this season than what we would have gotten over the summer
