Lying to Monta

A little bit about the Warriors 2nd round pick high schooler Monta Ellis from Lies pile up, leaving humiliated players in their wake

Someone told 6-3 high school senior Monta Ellis that he was a first-round pick. Someone lied. Only one high school player 6-3 or shorter has ever been drafted in the first round. That was Sebastian Telfair, last season. Ellis can't dribble like Telfair, pass like Telfair or jump like Telfair. Otherwise, Ellis is exactly like Telfair.

It's sad that so many players with dreams of making the league enter the draft only to go undrafted or wind up in the second round. Unless they're guaranteed to be going in the first round, players should be going to college. Being picked in the second round is not worth it.

I'm also curious about those players who are told that they will be picked in the first round but go undrafted. Who told them this? Did anyone tell them they would not be drafted and did they ignore those people?

Why would Shavlik Randolph enter the draft? Look at the numbers at Duke: 19mpg, 4.4ppg, 4.3rpg, .393fg%.

Young kids and their parents should force the crooked agents to sign a clause that says "if they go undrafted the agents will compensate them with $50,000." The agents won't disperse bad advice if it costs them.
