The Contra Costa Times covers Monta Ellis's introduction to the Warriors franchise.

But Thursday afternoon was far more than a photo op for Ellis, a fresh-faced 19-year-old from Jackson, Miss. It was also his first chance to begin proving he belongs in the NBA and showing those who passed on him the error of their ways.

"With Monta and Chris both, we were surprised to see them available when they were," Mullin said. "These were two guys that were on our board higher than that. ... It was one of those picks where we were looking for a guard. All the stuff that happened two days ago is in the past. Now we just have to give him the support and the training."
