Rosy Warriors

FoxSports.com's Charley "Super Cranky" Rosen analyzes the Warriors and their play against the Detroit Pistons this past Friday in Warriors need more from Davis late. Although Rosen seems to be basing too much of his analysis of the Warrior players on a single game he does make some good points.

On Mike Dunleavy:
Dunleavy seems best suited to be a scorer on the Warriors' second unit, and he definitely needs to run Hamilton-like routes through and around a plethora of screens to be effective.
Problem is Mike shoots blanks on too many wide open shots. The Warriors are better off running those plays for Fisher, JRich, Zarko and maybe even Pietrus.

On Troy Murphy:
Imagine a 6-foot-11, slow-footed power forward without a trace of a post-up game! If Murphy wasn't left-handed he'd have trouble getting off a shot.
But the man CAN shoot!

On Adonal Foyle:
Adonal Foyle was an embarrassment (1-of-5, 6 rebounds, 2 points). Passes bounced off his hands, and the one jump shot he attempted came out of his hands like he was throwing a handful of mud against a wall. This guy is strictly a third-string center who's being paid as though he was an all-star.
Yeah, but- he's still a nice guy!

On the Warriors as a whole:
Sure, they'll be able to outscore inferior, and even mediocre opponents, but if the Warriors must necessarily try to live by the jump shot, their season will inevitably die young.
Yup, that's what we're worried about!
