Another Warriors Refugee

In the organization's storied history of former players finding $, fame and wins upon leaving the Warriors, the San Jose Mercury News this morning reports that Greg Popovich, current coach of the San Antonio Spurs, was once an assistant with Warriors until 1994. They don't mention how long he was with the team, but just goes to show that the Warriors can develop coaches, in addition to players, to go on to do great things in the NBA, just not in the bay area. who's next? the athletic trainer tom abdenour?
