They Got Next
[syndicated from The Free Shai World Report]
As the NBA regular season draws to a close, it's time to think ahead to next year. Who will blow up the spot next year? Who should you draft on your fantasy squad? As we said in the mid-90's- I got 5 on it.
Oh yeah- as I was putting together this list, I started thinking... Don't these guys have some connection to the Bay Area? Did they go to high school here? Did they play for Cal, Stanford, Santa Clara, or St. Mary's? I just couldn't put my finger on it. Lemme know if you figure it out.
Hughes
Used to be the Shooting Guard who couldn't shoot
Free agent in the off season- someone better up this guy for big dollars. His stats are crazy- 20-5-5 and leading the league in thefts (2.8spg). As long as he's healthy he's an All Star next year- regardless of what conference he's in.
Jamison
Used to have the most "unconventional" shots in the league... well I guess some things never change.
Will raise his scoring to 24ppg next year in the high octance Wizard offense. Oh yeah- will be a 2 time All Star.
Arenas
Someone tell me again, why did he slip to the 2nd round?
Eastern conference All-Star next year- guaranteed.
Boykins
Used to be only 5'5, now he's 5'5 + Mile High.
With George Karl running the show, Earl's next year's 6th man.
Damp
Used to have hands of stone on a perenial losing squad, now he has hands of stone on a playoff team.
Here's looking at one of the Centers on next year's All-Star West squad.
